DEAR TOM

Dear Tom I don’t feel so good this morning
I woke up and my poor head was pounding
Feels like I’m all out of sorts in every way
Can’t quite recall just what I did yesterday

Don’t know how you got back in my head again
I’ve got to find a way to stop you, this is the end
Feels like you’re eating away at my very soul
Feels like my life is spiraling out of control

Dear Tom, I know that he’ll never notice me
If there was only some way you could help me
I’d give up my soul to hear him say my name
Where’s this blood from? Am I really sane?

Don’t know how you got back in my head again
I’ve got to find a way to stop you, this is the end
Feels like you’re eating away at my very soul
Feels like my life is spiraling out of control

TRACK NOTES

Written while listening to way too much In Flames, the verse riff really sells it. I'm notorious for not being inventive, so the middle section with the distorted drum machine is considered WAY out of the box for me. My wife provides the "Ginny" lines, from CoS. 5 individual guitar tracks are all going for most of the song, all are amp sims (mostly rectifier and JCM 800 sims, gotta have that crunch)
